The East African Hub
Cochrane Kenya hosts The East African Hub which was established as a geographical affiliate of Cochrane in 2021.
The role of the East African Hub is to promote evidence-informed decision making in health care in the following countries: Kenya, Comoros, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda by supporting and training new authors of Cochrane Reviews, as well as working with clinicians, professional associations, policy makers, patients, and the media to encourage the dissemination and use of synthesized or summarized evidence.
Cochrane Kenya is part of the Cochrane Collaboration. Cochrane is a global, independent, non-profit network of health researchers, professionals, patients and carers who work together to produce and promote trusted, high-quality health information that improves health and healthcare worldwide.
As a Geographic Group, we represent Cochrane in Kenya, promoting and supporting the use of Cochrane evidence in health policy and practice, and supporting Cochrane's members and supporters.
